I was intending to ask about this a long time ago, but it never happened so now it is...
I have no clue how to burn cds or send stuff to my mp3 player with out sighted assistance. How do I do this? And it's okay if your a nvda user too, I just need to know how to do it on my own.

That really depends on the software that you're using and on the mp3 player that you have. Some software has easy-to-use menus and others require the use of the JFW cursor. Some mp3 players require the use of third-party software such as ITunes, and others, like my Muvo T100, simply let you copy a song or folder from one place and paste it in the player.

Like has been said...What software are you using for burning and/or what MP3 player are you using?

Windoes media player does must MP3 players, and is easy to make a partnership between the player and your computer. It's not so easy to explain though, but is vary possible with many players and easy.

Well, I'm using windows media player and there's all sorts of other stuff on this computer. List a couple of them and I'll see if I have it...

And I no longer have an mp3 player, but I was still wondering because I'm thinking of getting another one.

Every MP3 player I've worked with it's been easy to copy the song and paste it in the correct folder...The problem is figuring out which folder on the MP3 player is the correct one. :) The two major programs I can think of for burning CD's (I don't like Windows Media Player for this), is Roxio easy cd creator and nero.

I just copy the songs from my 39482 track music collection on my 1 TB external hard drive to either my Sansa Fuse 8 GB plus, since that player can hold up to 8 GB external micro SD memory cards, or my 4 GB Zenstone Plus with speaker, no inbetweeners like Windows Media player, Itunes or anything and the music will still play and everything. I deleted some of the folders though, like the photos and services folders from the Sansa Fuse 8 GB, since I don't normally need those, leaving the albums, music, videos and podcast folders intact. With about 9 different folders on there, you can easily get lost and not find your music and albums folders again, so I delete the folders I don't need. Zenstone Plus is all one big 4 GB of space, no folders included anyway, so I deleted the Record folder it likes to create for itself and filled up all 4 GB with various tunage.

i personally would have never deleted anything called services, doesn't sound all that safe to me

That services folder didn't have anything in there that wasn't in the user guide though. Of course, I wouldn't've deleted it if it had important stuff in there, like a lot of smartphones have a lot of system files which control various programs and apps on them, but this player didn't have any of that, so rather than have the folder sitting there, taking up valuable music, videos and podcasts space, it went. Player still works just fine today.

still would have left it, they could have been hidden files

it all depends on the mp3 player you get if you get an iPod you will have to use iTunes or one of the other programs that can sync music to an iPod. though if u use anything besides iTunes u will only be able to sync music and not apps or etc if u get an iPod touch. For burning CDs i usually just use the cd burner built into windows explorer. select all the files u want to burn to disc press application key or right click and go to send to and then whatever drive your cd burner is which is usually D or E by default.

That works for data, but I don't think it works to burn music or mp3 cd's.

yeah it does cause it asks you if you want audio or data

Ok, didn't know that because I haven't used it like that...In my husband's words though, it's slow and unreliable. I much prefer Nero or Easy CD, and while I know they're not cheap, they're not to out of the way either. Anyways, to each his/her own. :)

I'm glad to know that stuff; I have been wanting to get songs off of the internet and make cds of my own. But I think what one person suggested, about copying songs onto the zenstone would be the quickest and less expensive way. Thanks guys and gals.

All this is to heavy. Windows media player will copy music to an I Pod believe it or not. Now a simple MP3 player to get is the Zen as suggested. You plug it up and it will sync. Really easy. The I Pod is easy as well. Buy one and say I hae and I'll post how. You can use WinAmp as well.

Wasn't aware that windows media player synced with an iPod. was actually pretty sure it didn't. As for burning CDs with the windows built in cd burner i don't find it any slower than nero and roxio, i abonded those solutions when they started to get way too bloated and run slow themselves. Besides it hink its alot easier and simpler to slect the tracks i want and do it taht way. Windows 7 is even better as it will burn .ISO images now too

Meant that burning using "send to" was what my husband said is slow. Don't like windows media burning because I've seen the cd's come out pretty messed up. Maybe it's just my bad luck with windows media...I don't use it for playing music either. LOL.
